(209) Shinei-cho danchi 新栄町団地

Shinei-cho danchi in Soka-shi 草加市, Saitama (map), is a large, apple-shaped danchi on the banks of a river. Mature cherry trees line the east side of the danchi, which looks lovely in early spring.

In the early 1960s the site comprised dozens of thin strips of farmland, likely separated by irrigation and/or drainage ditches. The complex was built before 1974/78:
