Kaihin New Town 海浜ニュータウン (Mihama Ward, Chiba)

Built entirely from reclaimed land.

Much of Mihama Ward is composed of Kaihin New Town 海浜ニュータウン, which was primarily developed from ~1969 to 1973. Here’s a zoomed-in example from the above photos.

Transportation

This area is serviced by the JR East Keiyō Line 京葉線, with two stations Kemigawahama Station 検見川浜駅 and Inagekaigan Station 稲毛海岸駅, which can reach Tokyo Station in a little over 40 minutes.

Rivers

The Hanami River 花見川 (印旛放水路) flows thru Mihama Ward into Tokyo Bay.
